Subtle House / Aslam Sham Architects

Subtle house. As the name suggests the house remains as subtle in its surroundings and creates an alluring experience for the inhabitants through the minimal free-flowing spaces. The fundamental need of the client resulted in a house deeply rooted in unsophisticated appearance and purpose of functionality wholly neglecting the extravagant forms.

Villa of the Star / APS Concept

December 31, 2022 Hana Abdel 0

Villa of The Star, a “renovation” project as a part of the Mo Stay project, is built on three main factors: Connectivity – Locality – Sustainability. Nestled in the pine forest, Villa of The Star is an inspiring resort space that blends existing landscape elements into the house, creating a connection between people and nature. The Star is surrounded by a low taluy bank, to avoid heavy rain that can sweep rocks into the house, we use stone steps to create a natural wall, both do not affect the natural state and avoid landslides. The design team found a way to create a project that endures with time, using sustainable materials that are highly local, such as stone, pine wood, concrete and steel, and bricks, to build a construction suitable for the natural context.

The interior space of this time is expected to bring a new breakthrough, applying the quintessence of Vietnamese culture to a Japanese restaurant through interior design. Vietnam and Japan are two countries that have one thing in common which is the diversity and love for handicraft products made from bamboo, rattan, and ceramics… Through this project, we want to affirm the potential and the application position is huge and breathe new life into such materials.

Mi Pan Bakery / Concéntrico

Visits to the bakery live in the memory of all Mexicans. The smell of freshly baked bread, the company of that loved one who opens the door for you and hands you a pair of tongs to select your favorite piece. A world so big that it does not fit in a single tray and has to be visited regularly. A world that accompanies you to school or work in the form of a bolillo, or in that cake that you enjoy with your grandfather over hot chocolate.
