In the vibrant heart of the multi-ethnic become an ideal exercise for STUDIOTAMAT which has recently completed the House on Track project, designed for Matteo Soddu, co-founder of the studio, and his partner Sergio Marras. The overlap of being both the designer and the client has allowed a 360° design, a perfect combination of the domestic dimension and architecture to be admired.
Background. Julong is a new town off the 7-million-city of Quanzhou. Since opening its population has grown, attracting people from the entire country. Today, it is home to a minority of Protestants. For years they met in a shop front. With services packed, they decided to build a church for 1000 attendees. Nestled at the foot of a green mountain, the site allows to create a landmark for the entire town.
On the Zeedijk in the North Holland polder landscape, you will find this new stolp farm. The starting point of the design is a traditional Dutch stolp farm with its characteristic pyramid roof, covered with old Dutch orange-brown roof tiles that mottle with age over time. Exceptions or modifications to the roof shape almost always have a functional reason.
The apartment is situated in an area of West Rotterdam, which is called Delfshaven. It is part of an almost 200m long flat building from 1935 on a dike along the river Schie and consists of the ground floor and basically, a one-sided basement level that opens to the water.

Located very close to poplar woods and a river in Buttrio (Udine), the middle school hosts grades 11-13 and includes a sports hall. The school is the last development of an educational masterplan composed of 3 buildings: a nursery + kindergarten and a primary school.
LANTERN, OMA’s first project in Detroit, is now open to the public in Little Village, a neighborhood-wide initiative of Library Street Collective (LSC) co-founders Anthony & JJ Curis. Led by OMA Partner Jason Long, the former commercial bakery and warehouse built in the 1900s has been converted into a mixed-use art hub and public space.
The family residence is located above the market town Silandro, on the south-facing slope of the Val Venosta Montesole Mountain. Nestled on the steep and warm dry slopes we find single and multiple family homes with gardens as well as vineyards. On the opposite side of the valley, the Montetramontana mountain with its flush meadows and forests rises to impressive summits. The valley plain spreads graciously from east to west, steadily inclining to the west towards Resia Pass, here and there interrupted by alluvial fans.

The school campus ‘VZW Vrije en Techniche Scholen Sint-Niklaas and VTS3 BUSO’ is characterized by a variety of typologies and styles. Besides a far-reaching vision for the redesign of the open space into pleasant green recreational areas, there was also a need for an additional building with classrooms and practice rooms.
