Gallery

Located on a popular 4x25m plot of townhouses, the original design brief was to have a complex function including a restaurant-residential – gallery. However, later the function was limited to the gallery and a small lounge space for friends, along with the requirement to be able to convert the function in the future without touching the building frame too much. Based on that, the design team decided to place the staircase adjacent to the skylight in the middle of the house, so that later when there is a reconversion, still ensure that the spaces in the building are airy and have natural light.

A space of luminosity, an atmosphere of subdued light, whose objective is to promote well-being. A place where light is the protagonist not only during the day but as an urban lamp at night. A gallery designed to welcome, celebrate meetings and fulfill the wishes of people looking for qualified spaces to live.

Housed on Level 10 of ANZ Docklands in Melbourne, the ANZ Centre Gallery is intentionally designed to feel a little bit magical, a portal transporting visitors into a world away from the workplace – It is a calming space presenting a previously less visible art collection, as a showcase within the ANZ Open House suite of amenities and work-meets-culture experiences. The gallery was strategically conceived as a way for ANZ to bring its people, clients, collaborators, and community together to celebrate its expansive collection of Australian and international art. Here, works are brought out of the archive and showcased on regular rotation.

This facility, located in the outer suburbs of Paris, is emblematic of the renewal of public cultural policies. The aim of the program is to create new dynamics between artistic creation, research, and education, by creating spaces for artists’ workshops, exhibitions, performances, and rehearsals. It is a place dedicated to the diversity of gestures and of speech.

Iga was once known as a historical town but has come to resemble an industrial area with huge factories on the south side of the Meihan expressway, which bisects the city. Gallery / Salon H is located in a residential area, developed in the 70s for local factory workers.

The project commissioned was to dispose of an exhibition room and an office space in a narrow site adjacent to an existing building belonging to Millan’s art gallery. 

Nestled amidst the tranquil and serene countryside, stands The Barn. The structure beautifully blends traditional barn design with modern CNC technology to create a truly unique and captivating space. The arched roof, wooden walls, and small windows all work together in perfect harmony, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that is both functional and beautiful.

Roberts Projects is housed within a 1940s former automobile showroom with an arched roof in the Mid-Wilshire district. A collection of galleries supports the diverse content and scale of artists’ work, including the site-specific installations defining the gallery.

We were thrilled to receive an invitation from the esteemed Galeria Simões de Assis to undertake a project for a new space in Curitiba using an existing property. From a sustainability standpoint, renovation is the most logical route regarding resource utilization and focus on solutions. We believe that reimagining spaces will continue to be an increasingly important exercise for cities.
