HQ & Conference Center / Archi+

Located within the Noor Ouarzazate Solar Complex (Morocco), the “lighthouse building,” intended to house a Reception and Conference Center and the Masen offices, is the starting point for the programming of circuits of diversified scientific and cultural visits. The architecture of the building went through several phases, but the philosophy and ambition developed upstream of the project were the continuous threads of reflection. The building should be representative of the complex’s environmental commitment and technical excellence. The architectural concept meets the same requirements: innovation, strong identity, and integration in a particular environment. The architects propose a set of “exploded” buildings, inserted in the same concern for compactness in a perfect rectangle and arranged around a panoramic tower. Each entity displays the singularity of its volume in a unique, sculptural, and dynamic composition. The advantages of this composition are multiple: the uses are differentiated (Masen Services, Masen Center) but remain and communicate with each other.

The Seasons House / MOST Monti Studio

March 6, 2024 Pilar Caballero 0

In Conakry, Guinea, MOST Monti studio completed The Seasons, an unconventional residential project comprising a multi-functional villa with contemporary interiors, a garden, a mosque, a pool, and a basketball court. Raising on a large, unoccupied hilly area that slopes towards the sea, the project blurs the lines between urban and residential. The project is based on three simple principles: sea view, division of space and privacy. The Seasons is nested on a slope between an urban district of Guinea’s capital city and the beach on the other side. “Architecturally speaking, The Seasons’ 7,000 sqm is quite a peculiar size: residential or urban?” Indeed, the project has been conceived as a small, self-sufficient ecosystem centred around a 2,000 sqm villa on two levels. Like a district scaled down to family size, the project features a beauty salon, a chapel, a spa, a playground and a gym.
