The first challenge would be to overcome the difficulties of the narrow and long lot geometry, where the main point of interest lies in the beautiful landscape at the back. Consequently, the family living area should be there. Thus, the house program was designed with a private wing, the bedrooms, facing east and close to the street, and the living area facing the landscape.
Lingang Coast Ecological Pavilions are three small structures of Shanghai Lingang Ecological Restoration Project, scattered along the 17-kilometer-long coastline. They serve as landmarks along the extensive shoreline, providing basic resting spots for citizens while also serving as eco-educational exhibits.
Nestled amidst a sprawling one-acre farmland on the outskirts of Erode, Tamil Nadu, lies The Croft, an idyllic weekend retreat. The property enjoys a serene location in close proximity to a bird sanctuary, surrounded by lush farmlands and meandering streams. The clients, a young couple, sought a two-bedroom recreational house with spaces to host parties and intimate gatherings. They desired the house to have a significant connection to the surrounding greenery while maintaining privacy and security from the neighbouring farms. In response, our design approach was to create an inward-looking house with large semi-open areas to enjoy the outdoors and engage in gardening & bird-watching, which fosters connection with one another.
In Anji, a rural region three hours from Shanghai, MORE Architecture designed a boutique hotel that seems to float above the hills. The building, situated in the middle of the mountainous bamboo forests, establishes an immersive relationship with nature.
The “Marketplace of North Coast” is situated on the north side of the public cluster in the southern part of this area. Aranya’s self-operated canteen and supermarket provide the park with affordable meals, fresh food, and daily groceries.

The design goal was to provide a green Gold Energy listed (the second highest energy designation in Taiwan), people-centric workspace for collaboration and sharing while working within the uniform efficiency of cubicles that accommodate the legions of high-tech workers occupying 19 floors of offices.
The Apartment Textures is the home of a couple who come to São Paulo, mainly for work. Therefore, the project aimed to be a comfortable and cozy place. The project’s conception came from the composition of materials for a neutral base, but rich in textures.

Futian High School Campus is a ground-breaking model of boarding school in the heart of Shenzhen, the most modern and dynamic Chinese metropolis. Its unicity comes from multiple factors: a context of extreme urban conditions, a very high density, and a program layout that allows most facilities to be shared with the neighbors, together make Futian Campus a prototype of “a new city within the city”.
Space for Something is about the stillness in a space without a business. At first, it may seem like a lack, as if the space is incomplete. But what we learned from this space is that it retains viability during a lapse. Without an official use, the space just “is.” It is unsupervised and unguided by an overarching plan until a conventional routine takes over, opening hours are set, furniture arrives, and the security system gets hooked up and turned on. It’s rarely discussed, this time when architecture’s not on display, but it’s precisely during these lapses when the program-independent, long-lasting, and raw spatial character shines through. Spatial character for any use, a Space for Something.
